Since 1959, The EPI Group has been an established and respected business partner to some of the best-known brands in the world, including Fortune 500 companies such as JP Morgan Chase, The Kellogg Company, Miller Coors, Stryker, and Ford. Their services stretch from digital printing to business intelligence, advertising to staffing, and more. In 2015, EPI was looking for a cloud partner to assist with their customer-facing business systems—and turned to us.
Like many businesses, EPI separated their internal systems from their customer-facing systems. But eventually, they began searching for a cloud partner to take on multi-faceted compliance, so they could give their customers a secure and resilient environment to place orders, view accounts, and perform other marketing functions. While security and compliance were top priorities, user experience was a close second.
Virtual Systems worked with EPI to determine the right architecture, examining elements like bandwidth capabilities, resource allocation (CPU, RAM, Disk), architecture redundancy, and more. The Virtual Systems team provided granular customizations to EPI’s solution, even maximizing Ghz/core for workloads, all to benefit and allow EPI to scale resources up or down according to their business needs.
Today, EPI enjoys a turnkey, fully-customized infrastructure solution for their customer-facing business systems. EPI’s IT team can now focus on other priorities, knowing their customer-facing infrastructure is secure, redundant, and reliable. As EPI looks into the future, they’re working with Virtual Systems to create better integrations between their on-prem infrastructure and their cloud solution, empowering their IT systems to work together seamlessly and reliably.
